Ra’s al Ghul gotham alexander siddig
Alexander Siddig (HBO’s “Game of Thrones”) will be portraying the Demon’s Head, Ra’s al Ghul, in Gotham Season 3 finale. Fox has released a new behind-the-scenes video featuring Siddig talking about his role to get some excitement from audiences and fans.

In the last episode of Gotham, the head of the Court of Owls told Bruce Wayne that he needed to complete his training by meeting up with the Demon’s Head. If you’re a fan of Ra’s al Ghul, then this should pique your interest.

“When I first found out that Ra’s al Ghul is coming to Gotham, I was beyond ecstatic,” said David Mazouz, who plays Bruce Wayne.

Barbara Kean’s Erin Richards said, “Alexander as Ra’s al Ghul is just the most genius casting because he is the most lovely person. And in my experience, they make the best villains.”

“I want him to be mysterious,” said Siddig. “I want him to be ambiguous. I want him to be incredibly cruel at times… and kind and paternal at other times. I think I’d like to offer myself as a replacement father figure to Alfred. I can get Bruce to cross the line that he should never cross.

Ra’s al Ghul’s Many Portrayals

There have been many portrayals of the leader of the League of Assassins. Many fans recognize the voice of David Warner (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze) as Ra’s in the Batman animated series. Of course, who can forget Liam Neeson as the main antagonist in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins? However, one disappointing performance, for me at least, was Matt Nable as Ra’s in The CW’s Arrow. With the Gotham preview of Alexander Siddig as Ra’s, it looks like we’re finally getting the most faithful live-action portrayal. For one thing, the Lazarus Pit is glowing green and looks mysterious.

Catch Alexander Siddig as Ra’s al Ghul in the Gotham Season 3 finale. The two-hour event airs on June 5 at 8 p.m. PT/ET on Fox.
